Kleenex anyone?

Sophie actually posed for this photo! I saw her pulling out Kleenexes from the box and grabbed the camera. When she saw the camera, she got this look on her face. Isn't she cute?!?

This is her new favorite pastime - ripping thin paper (Kleenex especially) into tiny shreds. Oddly enough, MOST of the time it doesn't enter her mouth!

She is babbling more and more, and really getting to be her own little person. Her most "hurtful" new game is ramming herself into us by throwing herself backwards repeatedly. Not fun, but it's still cool to see how she develops daily. She's also reaching for things while sitting and getting her legs "stuck" since she's not quite sure how to get on her knees to crawl.
I'm not sure how well you can see it here, but I put Sophie in her crib in the sitting position, and she got in this position all by herself. It's almost time to lower her mattress!
On to other subjects...
  • Chip has an interview for a job in Florida.
  • We found out he has vision and dental insurance until the end of May, so we made appointments for the whole family, which makes for a busy month now! He has regular medical until the end of January next year, so that gives us much relief. (YEAH MESSA!)
  • I have sent out a few resumes...we'll see what happens there. Of course, it's tough to know what to do with me if Chip gets a job in FL!
  • Next week Chip will probably get calls from a tech temp agency in GR.
We are breathing sighs of relief over these developments and thanking God for the timing! And yet, we're hoping for more...is that wrong?

Your kids are adorable, as if you didn't know...Well, our family went through a bunch of downsizings and times of unemployment(Lew's had 8 jobs in the last 11 years)and the one thing I've learned over and over is that God is faithful to provide and care for us. He makes us nervous sometimes though with His timing! You don't grow when you're comfortable-that's another thing I learned! God allowed me some pretty uncomfortable times to learn a few things...At the other end of it, I wouldn't trade any of my life experiences, even/especially the tough ones because they have made me a better person. That sounds trite and cliche' but it is true! From someone who has walked in the shoes...keep your chin up, kiddo! All things will work together for good.I will pray.Take good care and keep us posted.
Much Love,
Lana

Thanks, Lana. We're doing ok so far...we're just not real fond of the waiting game. Like you said, though, you don't grow when you're comfortable!
